Do you remember New Edition? They were one of the original R&B groups started in the 1970s by Bobby Brown. One of their fans reached out to make some custom New Edition Nikes dedicated to the band members Ricky, Michael, Bobby, Ronnie, Johnny and Ralph. The fan wanted to skip the portraits and pay homage using the band members names, and colors from Ronnie's sweatsuit in the Cool It Now Music Video.
We decided to put the band name New Edition on the outsides of the shoes in a repeated pattern. The insides of the shoes featured all the band members names.
And of course since Cool It Now was this fan's favorite New Edition song, we put that on the shoe too.
