Millions of people are affected by breast cancer every year whether they deal with it personally or through a family member or friend. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month was founded in 1985 in October and has since been respected and honored by countless organizations such as the NFL. During this month, many people who have been affected by breast cancer in some way get together to generate awareness and to fundraise. A common example of fundraising is the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk which millions of people take part in every year.
