Can you think of anything worse than buying a pair of fake Adidas Yeezy Boost 350s, then getting arrested? That's what happened this spring to 23 year old Texas Native Ryan Perez. Ryan wanted a pair of the Yeezy Boost 350s and turned to Facebook Sneaker Group to find a deal. Ryan agreed to trade four pair of his own Jordans for the fake Adidas Yeezy 350 Sneakers with someone he found on the internet.
After the trade, Ryan's celebration turned into disappointment when he posted images of the shoes to sneakerhead forms, where people pointed out the flaws in the design. They left comments showing evidence of them being fake.
Perez then texted 18 year old Davis Dorries and convinced him to do a trade back. At that point, Dorries stopped responding to Perez.
Not a fan of being swindled, Perez tracked down Dorries in a Taco Bell parking lot and confronted him in person. Dorries gave the Jordans back to Perez then had a surprise for him at home. Dorries had filed a police report stating Perez had "threatened to unload on us if we didn't hand over the shoes."
Perez was arrested for felony robbery by Forth Worth Police. The case is now in the hands of the Tarrant County District Attorney.
