The only thing more breathtaking than these Nike Romaloes would be seeing the Northern Lights for yourself! This Canadian client wanted to have a resemblance of the beautiful night heavens on his weightlifting shoes.
Airbrushed to compliment the natural beauty of the Aurora Borealis, the silhouette of a thick forest of Spruce trees deep in the northern regions of Canada only highlights the exquisite flow of color that seems to dance across the shoe as the Northern Lights seem to do across the night sky. This seemingly surreal natural event is caused by what are called Auroras. Auroras are produced when the Earth's magnetosphere is distributed by the solar wind which is produced by the sun releasing small particles into space. Due to the March and September equinox, the best time to view this natural spectacle would be late September to early March at a high altitude in complete darkness.
As an extra boost of motivation while working out at the gym, two grey wolves have been hand painted on each heel to empower strength and channel their inner alpha wolf. Grey wolves are known to mostly reside in Canada as well as Alaska. There are approximately 200k grey wolves worldwide with a lifespan ranging from 8 to 13 years in the wild. Though us Southern Californians might not have the opportunity to view such a surreal spectacle, anyone can agree that these beautiful shoes do the Northern Lights justice!
