I customized an Xbox controller for Porter Robinson. He's a DJ from North Carolina who signed to Skrillex's label back when he was only 18. Since then he's spent some time on the top of the Billboard charts, won artist of the year, and has been listed as one of the top 100 DJs in the world 7 years in a row. He even got nominated for a grammy.
He recently played at Addition Arena in Orlando Florida and the team at Addition Financial wanted to get him something special. He's been known to be a gamer, so we settled on an Xbox controller with some pink drip and other stuff inspired by the merch on his website. We added in Addition Financial Arena and his Smile! World Tour logo.
If you're an artist thinking about painting a custom Xbox controller, the trickiest part is popping off the faceplate. It's anchored by some clips that make you feel like you're gonna break the controller. But you won't, so just put some muscle into it. Don't be scared haha.
