Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg teamed up to sell a drink they've been rapping about for 20 years. Gin and Juice. They reached out to us to create custom Gin and Juice Nikes for their entire squad. Growing up with with Dre and Snoop as living legends in the rap game, I wanted to get this design right. The goal was to get inspiration from the can and translate it onto the shoe it's self.
Something I loved about this can was the white negative space that keeps the focus on the low rider. All the cans have a '64 impala on the front with gold rims, and I wanted to lean into that with the design. The final design shows a fresh fade from front to back with the Long Beach skyline towards the heels. It says By Dre and Snoop under the gold Nike Swoosh on the outsides with the Gin & Juice logo towards the toes.
The other pairs we created were completely dedicated to the text with that gold drip drip. Both styles were topped off with leather luxury laces. The best part of finishing this project was cracking open the drinks for this photoshoot. Let me know if you've tried it and which flavor is your favorite.
