Fry's Foodstores Managers get custom painted Nike AF1s

We did a MASSIVE PROJECT.

Monica, the President of Arizona based Grocery Chain Frys Food–who btw is the Kroger Co.’s first Black division president, asked us to make more than 160 pairs of custom Nike AF1 for their store managers.

We went through a lot of different mockups and landed on an Arizona theme featuring the logos of the Phoenix Suns, Mercury, Diamondbacks and Cardinals.

We really wanted a fun design that managers could rock anytime! To tackle this project, we divided each image up into color layers in adobe and created a stencil layer for each color.

I think we had a total of 14 custom cut stencils on each pair and divided each process into roughly 20 steps.

It was a lot of work–but totally worth it because it turned out so good.  To create contrast we added some black in around the toe and on the heel.

The shoes were gifted at their event and they were a big hit! (can put pic of the meeting with everyone here) Shoutout to all the sneakerheads  at Frys and if you know someone who is a fan of one of these Arizona teams, tag them in this post.
