Our good friend Nate Weis just so happens to be the Director of National Accounts at Whistle Pig Whiskey, and recently reached out for some custom Jordans for his entire squad. Whistle Pig is known for their Rye whiskey that is aged in their signature Vermont Oak barrels. We wanted to lean into their story when designing these custom shoes. We placed them all in a dye bath using Rit Dye to give them a sort of “aged bourbon” look. Something important in the design was putting the rye grain as a pattern throughout the shoes since that’s one of the biggest things that sets this brand apart. We paid homage to their signature oak barrels with a woodgrain pattern on the sides of the shoes. We finished the design with the Whistle Pig Whiskey logo on the heels and this is how they turned out. Checkout the pictures below.
