These Retro Jordans started their life black and white. I spiced them up with a little color and a splash of sea foam green, violet, and eventually florescent pink. They started off with white laces, but felt they needed black laces to really show the colors of the paint and to match. I see that there are some of these special sold out Jordans still available on Flight Club, which is why I now have these customs available on my website >>> https://bstreetshoes.com/products/air-jordan-12-retro-ombre-gradient

Last week Thursday March 24, 2016, worlds greatest shop dog Grizz The Wizz turned 4 years old. Yeah he got treats, played with his dog homies at his dog party. I also took a minute on Thursday to let him watch me paint a quick portrait of him on a TV found from behind the dumpster behind the art studio. It was a chance to try out my new Montana 94 colors RV-96-99. Take a look at some of his best pictures taken from this year, and the aerosol piece I painted on the TV.
The re release of the black/black AJ1s is a sneaker artist's dream canvas. Clean lines, clean leather, perfect to be painted! This client wanted me to take the direction with this project, and I had something in mind for these. Of course first comes shoe prep with rubber gloves, Acetone, cotton balls and tape. If you want to learn more about that check out my in depth blog post HERE. First I layered a few coats of different shades of green Jacquard paint. Then came a few layers of metallic gold and copper.
Next I hand cut each leaf of the masking tape and added some more coats of color. The next two pictures below are a screen grab from my Snapchat.
Tape comes off! Then a few coats of protection with the acrylic finisher and done!
Done and trying not to get attached>>>

I recently got an order from a dad who has 2 Roshe loving kids. They're also big fans of their teams. The son loves baseball and is all about the Toronto Blue Jays. The daughter plays basketball and is all about the Brooklyn Nets. These 2 pairs were made for them.
Happy Veterans Day! I thought today would be prefect to feature our Veterans most popular shoes.

Pizza Masters Tiffany & Pierre in Newport Beach recently contacted me wanting a piece for their brand new Artisan Pizza Shop in Newport Beach. I took a crack at filming the process. Check out this pictures below and watch the time-lapse video.
I recently teamed up with Jacquard products to get some of their amazing product line on some custom shoes. We had a first go at it with these Nike AF1 Lows. My first impression was a good one. The paints are pre thinned so no need to put though a filter. The bottle the paint comes in is really helpful. It's easy to control the amout of paint you feed into your Airbrush. As you guys know, before I was using Angelus paints, but it was a pain to thin the paints with their expensive 2-thin project. Plus, the filters you need to buy from them were getting clogged, even though I had a bucket of water right next to my brushes.
Like I mentioned in my Instagram post, the Metallics and Iridescents are amazing. They catch the light from a distance, but don't have an annoying glossy look. I highly recommend this paint for any sneaker artist using an airbrush on leather sneakers.
The care package Jacquard sent me was over the top. It included markers, glue, chemical heat set, polyester dye, pearl pigments and a whole lot of airbrush paint. Stayed tuned for more using this awesome new discovery.

This weekend I hopped on I-405 N to LA. After negotiating some traffic, I finally arrived at Think Tank Gallery DTLA. Gathered here were music performers and Sneaker Customizers from all over the state of California. John Born, Kickstradomis, Brian Rivers and King of Sneakers were some of the attendees. Kickstadomis was showing people how to create a galaxy design on their sneakers with an AirBrush. New stencil company Over Spray was there showing their new laser cut animal print stencils. Amazing sneaker art was on display in all forms. Check out the pictures below.
Last day to support! Toms is having a cool promotion that can help a lot of people. When you take a picture of your feet without shoes and use the hashtag #withoutshoes, they will give a pair to shoes to a child in need. It's the last day to do it, so do it now! You don't even need to buy a pair. All you need to do is take a picture and share it on Social Media. Start snapping those sandy toes!
